THE NEXT GREAT FIGHTING GAME

Toribash Next is the sequel to Toribash, the award-winning turn-based sandbox fighting game. Toribash revolutionized the genre by allowing players to create their own moves during a match, using easy-to-understand 3D physics tools. Toribash Next takes fighting games to the next level with weapons, four-player battles and a new replay editor, plus more of the customization and modding options that made the original game a fan favorite.

WHERE WILL YOU STRIKE NEXT?

Challenge your friends to a bloody four-player free-for-all, or team up for freestyle tricking and parkour exhibitions. Change the rules, spawn items and even alter the environment right in the middle of a match. Create epic martial-arts replays by editing in new moves after the fact. Toribash Next gives you the freedom to make the moves you’ve dreamed of making... and play the way you’ve dreamed of playing!

Jump into Toribash Next on now!
Omg the game is so good, I love the graphicss so next gen!! the multiplayer is so fun it reminds me of the old days I felt so nostalgic when i entered and the enemy kept disconnecting lol (rage quit). I'm literally having tears in my eyes while im typing this.
i have to remind myself im a man, i must not weep. Be masculine oh hardcod be a man. Dont weep like a woman. oh hardcod i-
All the wrong I've done the Lord still keep on blessin' me
How bad is this game?
Like seriously, i had alot of people saying It was worse than the original game, but is it really THAT bad?

It's not too bad but if you are coming with a certain level of expectations you will be disappointed.

No it really isn't, obviously with any game in existence that tries to have a fruitful sequel there's going to be bugs and problems, some optimization issues, and more, but in reality the game is far from being as bad as people have made it out to be. Regardless of the game being out or not, there will be people who will not like it automatically because it doesn't have their favorite design or implementation from this current version of Toribash, and more. The amount of potential freedom we can have in Toribash Next compared to Toribash Original is far better considering the new degrees of joint movement, the fact that it runs on unity and can practically have more capabilities to import better assets at higher tri values than here, and the fact that modmaker is so much more advanced albeit needs some work most definitely (as such since the game wasn't even complete on release), and so much more.

An underlying problem that I personally don't like but isn't ruining my entire game experience is the way modmaker files are text-wrapped or created, as it seems very congested.

Two ideas I have is implementing the same form if not better customization for players I.E. texturing your tori still and being able to commission custom items and more, whilst also having that free capability to come up with your own tori texture like you can now in Toribash Next using eyes, and styles. Just the fact that the festive lights head object you can get in the TBN store can move and make sounds is amazing, since when was an object besides hair that you could wear was so dynamic in the sense it moved without being a problem?

There's ton's of work that could be done to make TBN so great, but just like any project or release, you cannot DENY the fact that it will have problems, it will suck to work on at the start of it all, and it will get worse before it gets better, simply because not everyone plays the same kind of game due to various limitations like resource usage, as a very simple example.

Please try and play Toribash Next! It is fun to play, multiplayer can be hilarious when you don't know what you're doing half the time (Me when I did a backflip and dismembered myself with the katana while my friend gannforlife cut me into pieces) or the gun gamemode where you can spam projectiles once per turn and make the gun look like a turret XD?

If it's not fun, that's alright, cause we still got OG Toribash right here to play!

normal toribash already has an absurdly steep learning curve, why would you tell a new player to play the objectively broken version of the game that has no more than 5 players at any given time? just tell him to fuck off and go play fortnite or something lol u dont gotta put him through the wringer like that

speaking of which looks like he already quit the game, hasn't been online in over a month
