Infinity Blitz
Infinity Blitz is an upcoming game by Nabi Studios that I've been working on for some time now.
We wanted to try something completely different from Toribash and been playing with a bunch of concepts internally and this is a refined version of one of those projects.

Infinity Blitz is a brick breaker game designed as a time killer that you can casually play whenever you're bored.
Same as Toribash, it revolves around balls.

Testing on iOS and macOS:Testing on Android:

Short gameplay demo

Infinity Blitz currently contains the following features:

  • 49 premade levels that gradually introduce game mechanics and powers
  • Zen mode (endless mode, you play until you run out of lives)
  • Arcade mode (roguelike mode, levels are procedurally generated and you can select unique upgrades every few levels)
  • Shop with permanent upgrades and new color themes
  • Achievements and leaderboards (iOS only as of version 0.9.1)

My original inspiration was a clip I saw on twitter around a year ago (which I can no longer find) where the play area was separated into two halves with a ball on each side. Each time any of the balls hit the edge of their play area, it would spawn a block on the other side - simultaneously growing that ball's own area and shrinking the opponent's. This has eventually become Infinity Blitz's Zen mode.

All feedback is welcome! There are several features that are planned to be added before the release such as different bosses for Arcade mode and more visual variety with block sprites, if you got any other ideas or suggestions then we'd be happy to hear it out.

I agree with Manitoda that the ball can get a bit lost in the breaking effects.

Not having my thumb position be 1:1 with the paddle placement can feel a bit weird.

Balls colliding with each other was unexpected. Not a huge fan.

Other than that it's fun. I like the art style and the upgrades. Themes are a fun touch and I'm interested to see what you do with that. Uke / Tori theme when? I haven't touched Arcade or Zen yet but will report back when I do.

Also sir voice reveal on the countdown?
Needs some tweaks but still really good, agreed with manitoda and papes points, also, there's should be an explanation on how coins are obtained and working.

And maybe (just maybe) the pad is too close to cubes, sometimes you can just fail the 2nd time you bounce

I AM A STEGOSAURUS.
Pros:
Insane replayability and build diversity
Simple easy to pick up and put down
Neat graphics
Good upgrade choices

Cons
Ball gets lost when breaking multiple blocks
Finicky responsiveness when you use anything besides the bottom of the screen
Need custom colors, (maybe pay to unlock )

Suggestions : -reroll button - arcade-custom start mode -arcade

- 1:1 finger to paddle movement
- coins for upgrades - arcade

Overall
7/10
