Buy the game on steam! -

Dig, fight, explore, build! Nothing is impossible in this action-packed adventure game. The world is your canvas and the ground itself is your paint.

Grab your tools and go! You can do many things in Terraria: make weapons and fight off a variety of enemies in numerous biomes, dig deep underground to find accessories, money, and other useful things, gather wood, stone, ores, and other resources to create everything you need to make the world your own and defend it. Build a house, a fort, even a castle, and people will move in to live there and perhaps even sell you different wares to assist you on your journey. But beware, there are even more challenges awaiting you... Are you up to the task?

Trailer (new)

Let's play series

The game was released on May 16th, 2011 for the price of 9.99$ on steam. As of now, steam is the only way to buy the game. The multiplayer is a bit bugged and they don't have a real "server system" up but that's because it was released a month early. Currently it has been one of the most played games on steam which is a great accomplishment for these indie developers! (May 17th)

It looks amazing though, I've watched the current let's plays twice in a day and there's just so much to do, the cave exploring in this actually looks a lot better then minecraft and it looks as if the game actually requires skill to survive, as shown in the gameplay.
ehhhh....maybe as kryo said if there is a demo that will be the way to go.. im not keen on paying 20 bucks for a game im not sure haha xD but add my name with a maybe
If it will have a multiplayer option, count on me, I will buy it instantly. :P
It looks very promising and lots of fun, can't wait until I can put my hands on it.
It already has guaranteed multiplayer because in the let's plays they are playing online, plus they have a secret alpha testing team that helps them.

It's been rumored that the .exe that you use to run the game also works as a dedicated server.
Oh wow, this looks amazingly cool! At first i was unsure of what to think, but the trailer has convinced me that it's brilliant. When it gets released, i'll buy the FUCK out of it. I'll probably play with you guys too, as long as it isn't forced PvP or filled with excessive griefing.

I have a thread set up on the unofficial forums, if you guys want any information about what my server will be like just go there.

PvP will not be forced, but events may take place in which you have the option to participate.
