NUMBER 6:

Vitor Belfort

Many people don't even know it, but for a brief moment, the Phenom himself was the king of the Light-Heavyweight inside the UFC. But as short as most of his fights went, so was his reign.

After having a pretty good run inside Pride, Vitor came back to the UFC where he originaly left the promotion with a 6-1 record, only losing to Randy Couture who at the time of his return, was the champion in the Light-heavyweight division. And so, after picking one win over Marvin Eastman, he had his rematch with Randy, for the Light-heavyweight championship.

You may be wondering again, "why is he on this list?", and the answer is in the question itself, there is a good reason for why very few remember him as the champion, because the way he got there. His second fight with Randy was nothing compared to the first one since in this one, all what happend was that Vitor threw a punch that cut Randy's eye and so the fight was stopped.

Later on his first title defense, a rematch was scheduled and this time Vitor got his ass kicked just like the first time he fought the old man, ironically by doctor stoppage, exacly like his first and only victory over Randy 8 months prior. Just for give him credit, it wasn't in the first round like his victory, instead it went in the 5 minute mark of the third.

Here is a video of the "fight" between him and Randy, where he won:

NUMBER 5:

Dan Severn

Here is another forgoten champ, in this case, not only for the championship fight itself (that spoiler alert, sucked), but also for the fact that it happend prior to the existence of weight divisions in the UFC, so it was an open-weight championship; with the then champion being awarded the title of "Super-fight champion". But still, this was a lineal championship, so The Beast himself qualifies for being on this list.

Prior to his title shot, Dan had already been in three single night tournaments, of which he won 2 and he had also fought with the then champion Ken Shamrock for the already mentioned Super-fight belt; acquiring a 8-2 record in the process.

With him being the toughest challanger around, a rematch was scheduled and nothing could go wrong in there, right?

Somehow it did, a few hours prior to the event start, the police came in and said to both Ken and Dan that whoever threw a strike in there, would get arrested. With both fighters being high level grapplers, you would think that it wouldn't change much the way the fight would go (especially knowing that a few fights earlier, Dan didn't even threw strikes at his opponents); but again, it did.

For the entirity of the 30 minutes duration of the fight, they just stared at each other, and then, with a few minutes left for the bell being hit, Dan decided that he was done with that shit. He shot in for the takedown, hit Ken a few times while in his guard, oppened some cuts and that was it, he won via Decision. Later on he would unify his belt in a bout against the way more roided Mark Coleman, he lost. But still, he is to this day the first and only Tripple Crown Champion (twice tournament champ, superfight champ) the UFC has ever had.

Many things; I train, study, (try to) make some songs...

Number 4:

Robbery Robert Whittaker

You may think that to be champion you must beat the champion or the challanger for the title, but no, in this case it is proven that not only that is not not needed, but also you can very well lose to a contender a title bout and still keep your title, going even further, you can do it twice and still be champion.

Confused? Let me explain. After George Saint Pimp Pierre exorcised the Middle Weight division by finally taking away the man who was never suppose to come even close to the title from there, he vacated his title, and so some form an unofficial Gran Premiere was formed, with both finalists fighting for the title. Those men where Yoel Romero and Robert Whittaker, whom where both with, respectively, an 8 and a 7 winning streak.

Romero was way older, yet way stronger stronger, better wrestler with scarier finishes and favorite to win, in fact he did beat the shit of Robert, but for some reason the judges gave the win for Robert. For this alone he should already be on this list, but no, the soap opera doesn't ends here.

After the "loss" to Robert, Yoel had a fight with former champion Luke Rockhold for the interim title, of which he wasn't eligeble due the fact that he didn't make the weight, regardless, he knocked not only Luke Rockhold out, but also his entire career, since he has never got a win since his lost to Yoel. Then with him being the most legitmate challanger, he fought with Robbery Robert again.

This time the beating was way worse, the fight should have been stopped right in the fourth round, but still, Robert was able to "touch" Yoel more times (as if a fight should be judged base on who did the touchy thouchy more and not who beat the shit of the other fighter), and so he was given the win again. Later on Robert would get KOed by Israel Adesanya whom would fight with Yoel Romero in a fight that sucked and even though Romero did more to win, the win was given to Adesanya anyway.

Here is a video of the "highlights" from the first fight:

NUMBER 3:

Michael Bisping

This was a hard choice between Robert and this guy, but due a few details, the one-eyed british got the bronze.

Where to start, after losing every single title eliminator that he was given, Bisping scored a three winning streak, which lead to a bout with former champion Anderson Silva, where he got KOed, or at least that was what happend in real life, not the mind of the referees and the judges who decided that after he got blasted with a flying knee to the head, it was fine to wait for him to recover and keep fighting (seriously, what the fuck was that?). Then after getting his ass beaten even more in the next round, the judges awarded him the decision (?!).

A few months later a rematch between Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman was suppose to happen for the middle weight championship, but Chris was unnable to attend to the fight due to injuries, there is where Michael steped in to fight for the title with the man who had already beaten him in the past, Luke Rockhold. No one believed that he could win, it wasn't as serious of an underdog like Matt Serra against George Saint Pierre nevertheless no one believed he had an advantage, yet right in the first round, Michael, who had scorred only one knockout in his last 10 bouts, put Luke to sleep with punches. If it was only that, he wouldn't be ranked so high, the problem is what he did after his victory.

Now being the champion, you would think he would fight with only the best and a most legitimate challangers, right? But no, right in his first title defense he picked the 46 years old Dan Handerson, who had 6 losses in his last 9 bouts, for being the challanger. Mind you, around this time there where plenty of legitimate challangers around, such as Yoel Romero, Ronaldo Souza... But he decided to pick the man who had previously knocked him out years ago and now was way older and coming of a rough phase. Yet he got his ass kicked again, but still the judges saved his ass by giving him the decision for some reason that to this day I don't know.

For his second title defense he picked the retired and way smaller welter weight, George Saint Pimp Pierre to defend his belt. And then, in the third round of the fight, the curse was finally ended with the one-eyed champ being put to sleep via choke. And so the middle weight division was finally free to be good again (at least we though so, untill Roberry Robert came in and took the belt).

Here is a picture with the moment of the miracle:

NUMBER 2:

Connor McGregor

Some of you might be shocked to this name on this list, some may think he should be the number one; for the first group I only say that they should know better. You may think "oh, but he won 98787 championships" yes and he never defended any of them just because he didn't want to.

Coming to the UFC with a 12-2 record, McGregor was huge promisse for the divisions he fought in, and truth be said, he was a pretty good fighter. The major problems were his fouls, since he had a thing for grabbing the cage (which is illegal in the UFC) or throwing knees from the bottom (which is also illegal in the UFC) when took down, but none referee ever gave a shit about it, so he was free to do whatever the hell he wanted.

After knocking out some legitimate fighters, Connor fought for the Featherweight championship, which he won, putting José Aldo to sleep via punch (I have a theory that the punch he ate was what made he the retard that he is today). Now being the champion you would think he would defend his belt, but no, he didn't, instead he jumped straight into the welterweight division to be choked out by Nate Diaz, a guy that even thought has a black belt in BJJ, untill some fights ago was from the same school of tought as José Aldo, which is that belts are all for decoration and if you have one you should never use any skill that was needed to get the belt during a fight.

Then instead of defending his belt, he (again) fought with Nate Diaz, this time surviving to the final bell and despite the fact that he got beaten pretty baddly, the judges gave the decision for him.

Now, instead of defending his featherweight belt, he jumped straight to the lightweight division and fought with the champ for the belt, which he won via knockout and so again he decided to never defend anything and just be a jerk and that was it. Years later he would "fight" with Khabib Nurmagomedov for the lightweight championship and even though he commited every single foul posible, he still got his ass utterly kicked and choked out in the fourth round.

The belts that never saw a title defense by the man holding them:
