Ok, so basically, my hud isn't showing up. I tried opening up the console to input the HUD command, but when I hold Shift+~ or just ~ (Or the # key) nothing happens.

It was working the last time I played it, which was about 2 weeks ago. :<

I actually think it is better that way, more realistic :P

Yeah, it is that, but I like to be able to see how much battery I have left in the flash light, an how much health I have, etc.

You can backup some saves and reinstall the game. That might fix it.

OH, I messed around with some settings, saved, closed it, opened it again, and it's fine now! :D

I just killed half a zombie.
