I ugh, hit uhh, my laptop and it kinda malfunctioned and so i shut it off.
when i turned it on it said Operating system not found.
Any suggestions to fix it?

Define malfunctioned.

Also, when you bought the laptop, did it come with something like a operating system recovery disc or anything like that? You might be able to use that to help you, but if you don't have that, you might have to reinstall your operating system completely.

I have the same question as Giantz: What do you mean by "malfunctioned"? It's a vague term, and we get only a vague idea from it.

It sounds like there are two problems: A - You successfully formatted your drive so that you can't boot into your computer, or B - You erased the bootloader that tells the computer where to look for the OS files. It can be restored by using *an* operating system restore disk. Any should work (as long as it's the same OS) since you are basically just trying to reinstall the Bootloader.
