"back in my day we just called it weather" is when I realized their actual stance. up to around the five minute mark, all the stuff just sounds like positives except for people with an agenda against her. I didn't know she was that spectacularly popular from the get go, or that the green new deal was anything except legislation proposed to address climate change (It sounds like it now addresses the general welfare of people, all around) which is pretty heroic. I don't think it'll work but I wish them luck.

I have heard the phrase, "green on the outside, deep deep socialist red on the inside" though, so I see what they mean now.
i think AOC is playing a dangerous game with her "playing the bad guy" attitude. "pink haired psychopaths" might shame you on the internet for not caring about the environment, but at least they don't photoshop pictures of you being raped or send you death threats (via reddits front page from a while ago). If she does too well while maintaining she’s the “enemy”, she going to just inspire hatred from people who are looking for her to make a mistake so they have an excuse to brand her a moron. It's literally dangerous.

“weather” is not the correct term. Weather is the temporary condition of the atmosphere over a short period of time; climate is a pattern of weather over a longer period of time.

this political conversation is already super interesting and i think it's i n t e r e s t i n g that @glute you can write in a pretty not-paperjammed and i n t e r e s t i n g way about this topic. (excuse me i'm struggling to find words other than "interesting," but "interesting" pretty much sums up how open-ended and unevaluative my interest is).

if anyone asks, my political stances are full of "not sure what would really work best, so not sure overall" but probably the largest confident notion in the """political""" part of my brain is that as a species we're definitely most likely wildly mismanaging the generous resources of this planet and carelessly wrecking all kinds of shit. that seems like something this species does in all kinds of contexts.

also i'm hoarding a big plastic empty UTZ pork rinds jar from college because it seems insane to me that we manufacture that kind of incredibly durable and functional thing and then throw it away a day later, (and also i don't trust the recycling process since it's full of apathy and corruption, like a lot of things). idk what to fill it with. i don't have that many coins.

also i watched a vid about how higher CO2 levels in the air are shown to decrease our intelligence (by which i mean performance in certain tests) measurably and i don't wanna get dumber so if someone with power proposes starting a revolutionary globalist "Let's all get CO2 levels down or i'll kill you" thing i'll probably vote for them

I think my stance is fluidity and keeping my mind constantly open to new ideas. I think aoc is just another figurehead/puppet being used by some no face demon entity that just wants to push an agenda for some back alley dark money, maybe even pedophilia, type ways. Nothing appears as it seems in our society, from politicians to the food we eat (fast food chains, cheap and shit foods being easily accessible and therefore, increasing likelihood of bad health. Basically killing off the population while keeping them misinformed and hooked on forms of entertainment, not making progressive moves, idling forever until death)

I think this is just another cycle within life, I think there’s always some sort of uphill climb, climax, and then downhill, like sex, and everything else. I do wonder if humanity will come through in the Knick of time and make a hard uphill climb again.
