Interesting vids deppy. Some of the tecniques used, we've learned in wushu. The body mechanics against strength is really true. I also was lucky to attend some seminars in jui jitsu which teaches similar stuff too.I think I forgot most of the stuff though XD.
Cheers.

Bet your ass I could chopstick your face before you could show off your incredible Karafuchuxing.

If you learn a bit about kung fu, you'll learn it isn't about destroy something at all. It's about understanding himself and conquer himself.

I have started with karate, with an old master who had passed his belts in japan, he was rough and i have learn a lot with him about the will. When i have started thailandese boxing, i have noticed i had a lot of technical but i cant take a hit, cuz in karate you dont touch your opponent. But i have win some tourney because i have more technical than the one who have only done boxing. I have lost some too ;)
Now, with kung fu and +/- 15 years of martial arts, the last thing i want is fighting someone in the street. Im not longer interested by fights. Its the same for the majority of high belts.

So, maybe you kick my ass, maybe i kick yours, who cares ?

Eheh no problem ;)

I remember i have seen a documentary about martial arts (in french) where they had tested all kind of kicks, punch, etc. The english boxing have the best punch, the thai boxing the best kick and the ninjitsu the dedliest moves ;)

I watched karate kid as well!
Great movie!

Also nice way of talking about high belted people that way, nick diaz, great karate, black belt in bjj, still a sob.
Also Junie Browning who got a purple.

Jason Delucia got in a pile of fights.

People train martial arts for a reason, if it's a hobby, or just a thing.
People dedicate their lives to it, you speak like every single great martial artist dedicated their lives to anger management.

even if it is Kung fu, or bjj, or kb, or boxing.
You get my point.

well, in Wing Chun punches have nothing to do with english boxing ones !

In western boxing you learn to punch hard using your muscles, in Wing chun you learn to relax in order to use your body mechanics properly (punch alignement, body mass following your punches etc...), it's about the energy you can generate. So yeah punches are probably less powerful than western boxing but if you can wing chun punch properly you can still knock someone out if you're precise ;p

This demonstration is pretty nice
I hope you dont mind me butting in too much but i saw this thread by chance and its not often i get the chance to talk to other folks about Wing Chun. I started doing wing chun like 8 or maybe 9(?) years ago, i trained for about a year and a half before i had to stop because i ran out of cash unfortunately, but i did get a chance to meet and have a couple of lessons from Samuel Kwok while he was giving a seminar in Edinburgh. Hes actually really very nice to talk to and watching him Chi Sau with my meat tank of an instructor (paul Smith) was hilarious.
Im going to see about taking it up again when i get paid, it might be expensive for the membership/insurance against face breakage but goddamn, i really miss it :(

A quick search provides my instructor getting his ass kicked.
