If users received some sort of notification when their posts were quoted (with a link to the thread and the post) then it would allow people to only check thread in which people have directly addressed them. It would also add a little more purpose to quoting. I realise that a bit of coding would have to be done to make quoting anything more than a formatting option but I figured I might as well see what people thought of the idea.

i kind of like the idea but when someone posts on a thread they sure check it again for other posts and not only for their single post so idk if would be such useful
