You have 9 themes and 9 months. Each month you have to make a replay rated 11/20 or more (juges won't have to give an exact mark, just say if the replay is good enough to allow the replay maker to pass or not). Next month, 12/20, 13/20 and so on. But the replay maker has to choose his monthly theme. This will add some strategy, because after 5 month, you'll have to choose between keeping your best themes for later, or using them.

Yep, its too long. 4 weeks and 4 thems is maximum.

The Malmoth cup (It's in french ! :o) is 7 month long. With 9 themes. And no disqualification.
ToriOlympics had 10 themes.

But I'm okay with 1 theme / week. I was just giving an idea if you need one. :o

Team competition sounds fun. I also remember Oracles replay ladder a while back, where it had two tiers of people, the skilled ones and the less skilled ones so everyone has a chance to win.
