Suggestions Thread

Hey guys, we're passing through new changes and maybe you have better ideas than the leaders.

Please post in this thread any suggestion in any detail you think it would be better to the org. Don't be afraid.

We all will discuss your ideas and try to make this org the better we can.

Changes:
  • Tier system replaced by Sector system;
  • New app thread;
  • New Teachers;

K, since you guys are starting over my suggestion is to create 2 sub groups based on speciality

these should be, classic aikido and bushido
each group would have its leader and councilors and 10 ranks to put their members

the bushido group can choose between adding or not the following requirement
"to join the bushido specialists group you must first reach the Shodan rank on the Classic Aikido group"

but thats optional for their leader

the ranks would be a belt system, the difference is that bushido members will have the bushido kanji (武士道) written on their belt icon (and in their rank)

these are the ranks that I've thought, in order (they're the same for both, the only thing that changes is kanji thing)

NORMAL RANKS

EXCLUSIVE RANKS FOR COUNCIL MEMBERS

GROUP LEADER

BUSHIDO RANKS

EXCLUSIVE RANKS FOR COUNCIL MEMBERS

GROUP LEADER

tasks should be given to people in their belt, like:
player X reached 4th kyu (blue belt) and is now designed to help teacher with their students.

so yeah, this is my idea, opinions?
-----
and maybe add versions of these ranks so people can use their belt as textures (in the thight or leg should be good enough since we cant use it on groin properly)
-----
re-made the icons in minimalistic versions that would look good on a member list.

I think we should give an insentive for member who have joined to want to stay.

with small tournaments between members of the organization.
Sectors need a way to interact so i think each sector needs their own sticky thread. Instead of creating new ones we should re-label existing sticky threads to their appropriate sector. Ex: Bushido-New Technique Development and Teachers - Knowledge Base.

Also i think Duelers and For Fun sectors should be cut and instead have a Student Sector for entry level and less commited TA members.

This way all sectors can interact with each other and in themselves to create a system that's easy to follow and fun to use.

Bushido will explore and create new fighting techniques and styles. These will be passed to teachers who will further develop these and create tutorials and help any students who want to expand their fighting style. Students will post replays of their progression in the replay thread which also could be tied to the student sector.

On a side note i think individual ranking should only be implemented if there is a large enough student sector otherwise leave it aside.

I think that non bushido members should be encourages to try and come up with new techniques or judo moves they did.
With this implemented we divide members from eachother and kind of "lock" non bushido people out of that thread.

Well the goal isn't to lock everybody into a sector. It's to give more structure to sectors so that they can focus on different stages of technique development. There's nothing that would actually prevent let's say a teacher dropping his or her idea in the bushido thread. In fact sector collaboration would be the best thing to come from this!

Ultimately I just want to see something put in place that allows sectors to interact.

That sounds pretty neat actually. Looks a bit like how my clan works.

Right. I just looked at the Teams in [Monk] and I have to say it looks nice, very organized.

And of course we can always add additional sectors if needed like for artwork, modding, and so on. But I really think with the collaboration of Bushido, Teacher, and Student sectors we can create a tool that would benefit everyone.

We should have two separate teams based on playstyles. Also, icons next to the names depending on which tier they are in. This will organize our member list and seperate the strikers from the grapplers in this org.
