K so i've been getting this low disk space message pretty much every day now and today it finally came to a head when I had to delete stuff 'cause there was no space. I removed a heap of programs which sorta helped but I just got the Low Disk Space message again.

My dilemma is that i'm trying to delete stuff from C: drive and there are things with blue file names, random folders with nothing in them, and some folders with really long names consisting of random letters. Now we don't have the best antivirus system out there (It's some bullshit AVG free download :U) so i'm kinda worried that maybe some of these things are virus's or other bad shit.

So yeah, I come to you guys 'cause I really don't know all that much about computers, so hopefully someone here knows what's going on.

Avg is a pretty decent antivirus.
You might have some kind of autodownloader worm though.

What I would do to free up disk space is use WinDirStat. It maps out your hard drive, so you can see what is taking up a lot of space.
Also, how big is your HD?

Also, Corey, just go to Start -> My computer
now scroll over the C: drive until something pops up. it will say used space: over free space: tell us the free space.

If it doesn't, right click it and select properties. It will tell you how much you've filled and how much is left.

The blue texted files are compressed files i think. CCleaner works well for me
