Recently I started using paint.NET and I really love using it.
On this thread I will be posting some art and textures that might be free.

If you want you can use Gimp right now. It's really good and you should try it.
Anyways, that looks good.

For only Paint.net, you know the shading and proportions pretty nice for minecraft. It isn't hard, but not anyone can just do that.

It will help you map better if you make textures and help you blend colors better. Also, everything is much smoother in color.

You can look up tutorials on that. Or you can request a tutorial at the tutorials board. Once you get used to gimp, you'll get used to making heads with it. Weoo Weoo uses gimp too. (I think)
