Tournament Information

Game Mode: Tenshin Do (this mode was made by the promo staff and will be released about a week before ticket purchasing will be available)
Entry Fee: 10,000tc
Juinor Entry Fee: 5,000tc
Date: 20th of December from 12am GMT till 4am GMT/ Then 12pm GMT till 4pm GMT

Rules
If you have no opponent by the end of the tournament a Ref has the right to enter and fight or declare you the winner by default.
A Ref cannot win the GRAND PRIZE it will just be handed to the last competitor if his opponent does not show.
Competitors only have 1 chance, if you lose the round or get disqualified during the tournament your gone.

Junior Rules
Same as the Above rules but if your happen to surpass brown belt after buying a junior ticket you can have your ticket upgraded by myself for 5k otherwise you will be unable to compete in either.


Layout:
Once all of the tournaments are left with a victor each, the room will be cleared out for the next hour to commence and prepare.
at the end of the day we should have 8 players left, these players can either choose to play in 1 final tournament or arranged single matches

The Single matches will need to be organized with yourself and another player that cannot make it, in the unfortunate case where only 1 person cannot make it they will fight the Ref chosen to do so, as well as the player in the tournament.[/color][/u]

Tournament Ladder

Kai-Tiger will be in charge of server 1, CMon Server 2 and Werd Server 3 send all requests to me first and if the time you request is not available on my server sheet then i forward the email to CMon and so on, if all 3 servers cannot hold you for that time you will have to choose another server or if supply and demand is low on servers we will open a 4th server to free up space.

Qualifier Round Rules

All players will gather in the tournament server during the time slot that they signed up for. The player that survives there round will continue to the next dated tournament.

Knockout Round Rules

For the knockout round, players will fight one another according to a tournament bracket, as illustrated below:

For the first two rounds, there will only be one fight to determine who moves on. In the final round of the bracket, the first person to 3 wins will be crowned the Grand Champion.


General Tournament Rules

- It is a win if your opponent is AFK or disconnected by quit
- AFK players will not be allowed to further compete in this competition
- Number of clients for the server is 31 and will not be negotiated (1 referee, 30 players)
- It is up to the discretion of the Officials as to allow disconnected players to continue in the competition
- Those who make racist comments, spam, use caps-lock constantly and over-swear, especially at the officials, will be removed from the tournament.
- Please be patient as the server can be rather slow at times and it may seem that the officials are not doing anything.

Unlike last year players will be teamed by a random generator not by order of signup

No set date yet but it will be around the december january time

Won't January be..2009? And it clearly says 2008 world Championship :o

I'm pretty sure it's gonna begin during December 2008...2009 is just incase the tourneys pulls out longer than we intend.

I see one thing wrong with this. Why is it that the first round is only 1 match? If the mod isn't going to be releashed till the tourny date and you only fight one match to see if you move on or not, wouldn't it be almost all luck to who wins the first match. Shouldn't it be best of 3?
