why do people think you shouldnt get banned for being unironically racist LOL, private or not

my take: did he deserve the ban.. yeah kinda, should they have banned him? probably not i feel like that was a slight overstep of their jurisdiction, even though i think its justified... to my knowledge he harrassed skizz in a dm on discord, imo that should be up to discords team to handle, if he then went and harrassed him in the toribash discord or ingame chat then it would be no questions asked, but its the fact that they are taking action against a dm sent outside of tb soil, that kinda feels wrong to me, he shouldve been banned i just think they coulda came at this a better way, either way its deserved so -shrug-

Tbh racism in any kind of community should not be accepted. Yes we can make fun with our friends (they can be irl friends or online friends) using racial slurs, BUT we know we don't mean that and it was just for banter. This particular case was a case of a direct conflict from toribash in game which escalated to private. Given yonker's history this ban doesn't seem that surprising tbh.

Racism is wrong and stupid; a community member being racist to another community member is within the boundaries of the community. If it had happened through the forum's private messages it would be just the same as it being over Discord

Idk man, permaban him seems too much, racial slurs should be punished, but wasn't a hate speech, he just rage about the server thing and scalate it to discord. It's like hitting a kid with a truck 'cuz he got his hands dirty
