[DAT] clan story
The son of a mafia boss was shunned from his fathers business because of his nerd hobbies. video games, cartoons, martial arts, these were not the interests of a man who wanted to be taken seriously. His father did not let him attend business meetings, did not let him meet the other mafia members, and he hated his father for it. He swore that one day, he would take over his fathers business. Unfortunately for him, he did not know his father had become weak in his old age. The other mafia don's knew this though, and when the time was right, they had the old man killed. The son knew this meant he was not safe, so he left the city he grew up in, and moved to a place where nobody knew his face or his past. But he always wanted revenge, and his rightful place as the operator of his fathers business. So he took all the training he could from anyone he could. Martial arts from a local dojo owner, firearms training from the old navy seal who was living in the shelter downtown, management and leadership from a lawyer who took pity on him and had defended him in court from a few small misdemeanor charges. As time went on, he knew for certain there would be a day of reckoning, when those who had killed his father and taken the family business from him would be served justice.
And so, after many years in the new city, the young man felt he was ready to go back and take his fathers stolen business back. He recruited people from the local gangs, his old friends, and even people who had worked for his father, and started to plot against the other don's. But things went even better than he had expected, and within months all the other dons had been killed. So his attention was turned from revenge, to operating his fathers business, and that is what he does now, he still recruits new people through his captains, he still has his men "policing" the local streets and businesses, but the true source of his money and power, is extorting the other gangs in the city. Any gang that refuses to pay the tax when asked, is declared war on, and the war lasts until the leader is killed, or that gang no longer has any power in the city.
