Introduction
RWD is a simple scheme that allows us to reproduce (to some extent) the human body weight distribution in Toribash.
The only simplification I will use is to average the male and female body weight values.

Total Weight
Before we move on to adapting our Tori let's first set the weight of his whole body.
I set the whole body weight at 5.0000 units, a little less than Tori's standard body weight (5.2500).
Gravity is set to -30.

Implementation
I spent some time browsing the internet for scientific publications and databases that deal with the distribution of weight in the human body.
I found quite a few interesting lists by various authors with data in percentages and grams.

Here we have a couple of different datasets side by side, some of which we have already seen, but there are two new ones (Clauser et. al and Hall).

...Okay, I think that's enough.
Useful observation: Hof Plagenhoef's list (exrx link) is very valuable for us because it is the only one that divides the torso into 3 parts, Tori has 8 body parts in this area, without this list all these parts would have to have the same weight.

Let's move on to the blackboard, I averaged the datasets of all authors into one dataset. (right side of the Table no. 1)
I have scaled up the trunk from Plagenhoef's list and its parts to align them with our averaged trunk value. (Note no.1)
The 3 parts of the trunk I now divide into 8, upper trunk into three equal parts, same for lower trunk, and middle trunk into 2 halves.
...aaaand done! RWD completed (Table no.2).
Now we distribute the body weight of our sample tori (5.0000) according to these proportions, and that's it. (Figure)


Conclusion
Now our Tori has better weight proportions of all body parts, they are not perfectly realistic but when I test them in Toribash I can feel the difference.
The most important result we achieved here is more realistic center of gravity.
The centre of gravity can still be improved a little when we improve the proportions of the length of our Tori's body parts, but about that in the next section ("Torimeter").

Better proportions of length and spacing of body parts.

Quick Introduction
Oh man, I had so much fun and frustration with this part at the same time.
You already know from the title what the Torimeter does, in the title I deliberately wrote "better" instead of „realistic” because I made some minor simplifications and small compromises for aesthetics.
I would rate the accuracy of the Torimeter at 80%-90%, the remaining inaccuracies are small sentimental anatomical mementos I left from the classic Tori. :3

Tori Height & Chin height dilemma
You will notice right away in the measurements that our Tori is higher than the standard one. ...no, this was not done to "assert dominance", it has to do with Tori's head.
The point is that I didn't want to change the size of Tori's head to avoid affecting the appearance of some 3d items.
On the other hand, I wanted to keep the proportions of the head relative to the body, so I simply determined the height of the entire body based on the height of the head.

From various sources I've looked at it seems that the head is about 13% of the human body (averaged data).
So I measured everything and set it up in the right places, and this is where a certain aesthetic problem arose.
Tori's chin is located in this spot (Image on left).


We humans have trapezius and other dorsal muscles in this area that make the neck look more stocky but in Tori's case it just looks bad.
The obvious solution seems to be to lengthen the chest parts up to this level, and make a conical human-like neck shape.
I tried it this way, unfortunately such elongated muscles put more friction on the joints, affect movement negatively and look ugly when Tori bends arms.
I decided to decrease accuracy a bit and lowered the head height by 0.08, thus changing the height of the entire Tori.
I left the proportions of all the other parts of the body below the neck the same, so they are proportional to each other and to the previous height (3.12), I only lowered the head and the neck joint.
In the end, our Tori's head is a bit too big, but still better in terms of proportions than a standard Tori's head.

The vertical and horizontal positions of the body parts were set according to the average of all anthropometric measurements I used.
Things like the appearance of Tori's joints (diameter), I set according to anatomical drawings, it's not a perfect representation of course, but i think it looks decent.

On the right side of the board you can see the revised body curvature.
The new curvature improves the center of gravity and allows for a more realistic imitation of lumbar movement (when we move the ABS joint).
This body curvature combined with RWD should also give you the ability to run and walk more comfortably without the characteristic strong forward lean that we all know,
You will still need to bend forward at least slightly, of course.


Toris in my TEQ mods have these parameters applied so you can use them as a template for another mod.
