For work pretty much any laptop will do.

For gaming I can only recommend you find one that you can upgrade, hardware requirements change constantly and if you can't upgrade you'll end up with an expensive paperweight.

Yeah it was such an awesome event... I picked up a prototype 18 AAX china with unlathed bell/edge and I also got lucky and won a pair of custom 12 hihats that they hammered and lathed on the spot
