Especially in textures and art because you want to show off the quality.
.png files keep the pixels exactly the same, especially when uploaded to image hosting sites, etc.

Pate, that nose is gonna fail if you look from the opposite side that it's drawn.
I'd like to advise a more symmetric nose. Will look tons better.
