The reason nothing came up is because it is a retorical question. QI is like experience points to gain to the next level. Playing any match anywhere(other than freeplay), gains you QI. As you gain QI, you can unlock new items for you to buy. Of course, there are no QI items, but thats another thread on another game.
BTW; this goes in the support board.

Everytime you play a game, you get QI.

You need QI to level up to the next belt, and to be able to wear certain colors.

And this is in the wrong board.

QI is the amount of multiplayer games you have. For example, if you have 207 QI, that means you have played 207 games in multiplayer

Unless you play in a fast QI server or get a booster for QI.
