A Gimp Users Sponsored Event.
This month we have a competition, every week another comp, in total of 4 weeks and we have the end of the competition, after the 4 steps.
Every step, one theme. Every steps points is going to add for the final result, so you have have a change to change your result at every new step.
Me and the leaders are choosing the theme.
Rules:
No Flaming
No Spam
No Troll

Judging criteria:
Originality,
neatness,
quality.
Can be done with any Graphic software.
Make sure to assign it.
The first step is Head Texture
for the texture:
the head must be made for this competition,
you are free to do everything you want with it.
size: 512x512
preview max size: 1024x800px.

Events need marketing to get noticed.
the torinews thing that used to happen was a pretty good place, someone should really do something about that, it was a major community boost.
Theres an Art news thread in the art board.
draft me a post and il stick it up there and link it etc. might get noticed a bit more if i started using that thread properly again.
perhaps a sticky thread if people start taking notice of it, but if the GU members dont make anything and dont support their own event, then theres no point.
post in all the active art orgs, not just GU and GATA.
theres atleast 2 other art orgs that arent official, who ahve some decent texturers.
