I prefer Sennheiser headphones. Although they can get pretty expensive.

Audio-Technica is good and cheap. Hard to say what is "best" because some headphones go for thousands of dollars, others for hundreds. For 5 thousand dollars more you might only get 50% more value than a $200 pair of headphones.

Beats are a piece of mouse made engineering, but it looks really sexy, and Dr.dre has his name on them. This is what makes the price, but I still think it's too high for major produced components.
