For me, they are generally helpful because I can relax and pass time I'm not using. Like after taking a test or after doing something stressful.

This is about the most pointless poll I seen in a long while. Different apps have different uses, to say apps in general are either a waste or a help is like saying all cats in the world are either cute pets or money wasters.

Apps as in mobile applications and that sort of thing?

Youtube app is all I need. Mobile gaming isn't real gaming, I don't really need a clock when the device has one built in, even most of the apps that come with the device have been used only once or twice. Waste of time, except for the youtube app, which I use all the damn time.

I've been able to take the most thorough notes from the use of an App on my tablet, so I thoroughly appreciate them far more than they hurt me.

I use that white noise app so I can fall asleep
