To give you guys one example of how I would use this:
I'm working on a mod with a huge animated golem in it, which uke or tori must defeat by touching its "heart". Unfortunately, since there's no randomizing element, the golem moves exactly the same way in every single game, making it easy to predict and defeat after seeing it for 1-2 games. I'm currently trying to think of a way to tie a change in initial conditions to movements of tori or uke, but no luck so far and don't know if I'll manage to do it. It would be a lot simpler if I could just give random thrust/velocity/bounce/weight to some body part of the golem. Something to force the thing to behave differently every time.
