been working at this for a while, those who are in the discord will remember that I'm making a new portfolio for my artistic endeavors
it's kind of miraculous that it works since I have 0 programming expertise, I just know about art and design, fashion, 3d, and music.
BASICALLY: I've made a portfolio that's a first person 3d world explorative experience in which there are multiple rooms that you can see some of my art in; one of those is centered around my work in Toribash of which I am super proud of:
this is the central map in which you'll find the way around to the other rooms (or press M to open the map that takes you to the other maps)
The second teleport from left to right from the initial spawn location leads you to the toris room, which has a loadingscreen visual and all that you can see here:
Music was made in an automated fashion using an esoteric programming language called ORCA that I'd been working on for some months back in december, for another project. It's a MIDI-reactive sequence made using the Resolume suite which I've used to make visuals for generative music using the MIDI signals you send by writing code in ORCA.
Upon entering you'll see an array of over 40 toris in a PSX low poly style, these are roughly all the sets I've worked on, they'll be in formation and you'll be able to click on them to get a rotating 3D HD view of each set!
They'll have both the date of creation, as well as the title I set for it.
Right now the site works on desktop and android as well, I've had friends test it on multiple browsers and OS and it seems to work well. I'm working on the iOS compatibility (as mac works, apparently)
there are other rooms as well, one focusing on my fashion work and some tattoo work, another one based on the general flat 2D art I've made along the years, one overworld that's lowk just aesthetics based on my city, and the other one is a music room with a display of my entire 250+ vintage vinyl collection and a player to pause or skip the song that's playing ingame (a collection of my 2024 music production)
Super proud of this and to have my toris have a whole area in my portfolio is important to me I stg I love this damn game
Check the sets out and although I don't think I'll be adding new sets to it as it's a lot of work who knows maybe after I've made 20+ more I'll update the room

The main hub reminded my old ass of games i played as a kid , in this case especially MDK from 1997 with its trippy graphics and music.

Doesnt work on my phone tho(android).

those games are tuff as shit , and yeah! mostly I wanted to put a grain of sand against the gentrification of the current net which leads to just stagnant and boring streamlined experiences so this year I'm going to delve into getting more knowledgeable on making the web more fun and more reminiscent of my old experiences online when I was a kid
Weird that it doesn't work on your phone - but it's to be expected that not all are gonna work, however if you got an SSL certificate authentication I still haven't gotten around to fixing that, I've tested it on pixel fold, pixel 6, pixel 4, on vivaldi and chrome, and my friends have tested it on their own devices and browsers and albeit the movement is super inconsistent (due to how each browser calculates the react physics and stuff is what i understand) it usually kind of works
May i ask, since I don't want to ask specifically your device or your browser as idk how you are about privacy, what behavior made it not work? iphone's main issue is that I can't seem to get the initial interaction to trigger the game to start instead it just gets stuck in the first loading screen :/ so I'm asking to see if I can replicate your issue as maybe the ios issue could actually be more so a browser issue rather than an OS issue? What behavior made it not work?

this was really fun to make albeit frustrating to take such a crash course but I'm glad people are actually able to traverse it and see the artworks that was the main point, it's so tough working in something that's meant to work on many devices and browsers since it's really hard to actually have a consistent functionality due to the very root of the multiplicity of the devices it could be visited on; so thank you for checking it out and actually letting me know it's not only working on my laptop which i thought would be the case at first lol
