so yeah...
there should be a tag in-game and in the forums that shows
if the player was an alt or not

this will block alts from entering free item giveaways
plus this will block them from farming TC

if this happened, we'll be able to make a lot of the suggestions
that a lot of players wrote

like a daily TC or winning TC for completing some missions

Alts will not longer be able to scam

the system will automatically block the alts

if u haven't chosen ur main, u'll get a message about choosing it
and the other accounts will automatically be alts

using VPN for making alts as mains will automatically ban u
because the system will check ur computer address, not only the ip
So yeah...

Is it possible to get something in the form of this that every user can see?
This is taken from an outside admin tool for a mw2 client that I have access to, its really handy. Maybe we could see just the aliases?
the point of having an alt is to not let people know who you are, or that you're an alt..
lets just make IP addresses public while we're at it.
There are people who ruin the atmosphere just by existing, you know.

Why would anyone care about not letting people know who you are?
It just causes unnecessary confusion.

EDIT: Actually, now that I think about it one of the only real reasons I can think of for someone "needing" or wanting an alt, is to gain qi or achievements again if they wanted to. Having information such as someone elses accounts would make it easier for clans to see multi-clanners, scammers, anyone with a bad temper, or just someone that has a bad past in general.
It would make it safer for individual users if they checked someones past/current accounts before doing any kind of business with them, assuming they are smart enough to be extra careful. This also goes with my belief that past ban reasons and current ban reason should be on the users profile for everyone to see, because not having that is just silly.
Anyone with a bad past that wants to start fresh should have the ability to explain they changed from their past behaviors. Not to hide away from their past or whatever.

TL;DR I think someones account should have a way for every user to be able to see what other accounts the user have, for reasons of safety as there is no reason for someone to have an alt. If someone doesn't want their aliases shown they should ask for some kind of higher up to make that information private, such as if someone needed a secret account for an event they made or something.

I think having people's alt listed in their profile like how steam list previous names might be a great idea

People duel with alts. Trick a 3rd Dan into fighting with a custom belt by appearing as a 2nd dan. Before the rank changes, people used to make alts to have a fresh start for rank-gain, also.

(Underlined portion I'm addressing)
So it will get your MAC address?
