well, I beat the game [beat all gym leaders] i cought latios with by using block, the raikou i used block, I got the Ho-oh in a trade, caught mewtwo with a master ball, migrated rayquayza and caught lugia with an ultra ball (all in soulsilver) no hax used just hit playtime of 50 hours and got the game the day after it came out
I also have a non legendary team consisting of nidoking and dragonite etc.

I had beaten all 16 gym leaders, defeated Red, and a had team of all 70+ non-legendaries.

Just traded them all to my Platinum then started new.
Right now I have:
44 Lucario
42 Charizard
39 Vaporeon
38 Raichu
38 Gabite
35 Lileep

i chose cyndaquil. i figured that a fire type would be helpful since they arent too common elsewhere.

I have done the same thing.
Right now my team is:
37 Sceptile
37 Arcanine
36 Kingdra
34 Espeon
30 Smeargle

I just picked HeartGold up and its amazing. They have added cool features like running inside, moving with your pokemon etc. I am a former fan of pokemon but when I saw this thread I was like, oh what the hell and bought it. I have almost all of the gameboy / advance pokemon games : D
