You probably mean VOOT, which as far as I understand is a game about mechas flying around, doing flips and shooting shit all the while dodging things and exploding.
Hawken looks cool. It'd probably be awesome with a controller like steel battalion has, except maybe a bit simpler. A joystick and some buttons might do the trick.

Also I was thinking something like two joysticks would be sweet and probably similar to what the actual controls would look like. But they're undecided as to what platforms they want to release it on, so it could be all dual analog controllers and shiz.
