Halo: Reach
In 2552, the planet of Reach is humanity's best hope for victory over an overwhelming alien threat.
It houses a huge stockpile of military assets, from training facilities to industrial mineral production. It is an impenetrable fortress planet bristling with UNSC forces and surrounded by orbital defence platforms. Its enormous tactical and stratigic importance is hidden deep behind dozens of outer colony worlds, and well obscured from enemy infiltration. It's not enough. This symbol of humanity's military might falls that same year, overwhelmed by a massive Covenant force that turns the surface of the planet to glass. A lucky few, like the spartan II known as Master Chief, will escape. For everyone else on the surface, the end is a foregone conclusion. Reach will fall. And we'll be there to see it.*

Halo: Reach is set on the last few days before the covenant attack. You play the role of Noble Six, a replacment for a fallen Spartan III soldier in Noble Team. The spartan III's have never been depicted before Halo: Reach. They are cheap and expendable. They are the military's "fire and forget solution" to a problem. Somehow, Noble Team keeps returning. Suicide mission after suicide mission, they refuse to die. Until a member of their team falls in battle. That is where you, Noble Six, comes in. Noble team consists of their leader, Carter-259,the heavy weapons guy, Jorge-052, who is a Spartan II. So he is a bit bulkier than the others. Carter's second in command, Kat-320. The sniper, Jun-266. Emile-239, the silent one, who has the visage of a skull painted on his visor. And Noble Six, who's past is shrouded in some dark secrets. There is also a new addition to the Covenants army. Cousin to the Jackal, Skirmishers. They travel is packs and flank their enemy's. Mostly all of the weapons have had a complete audio overhaul with completley re-done sounds, and some new looks. There is also the new Needle Rifle, and the Helicopter-like, Falcon. Bungie has also had a technology upgrade. Now the engine is able to support up to 40 animated enemy's, leading to very intense battles with the covenant. You can also drive the civilian vehcles left behind when Reach was evacuated. So all together, it looks to be a wonderful adition to the Halo franchise.

Microsoft is really milking it :[

Looks interesting though. Nice to have more enemies on screen, too.
Now if only they can port halo 3 over to the PC. It's been a couple of years already.
