Rules
1. Please no massive replay dumps.
2. Try to give a brief description about your replays.
Do you think you have the next BIG move for [TA]?
We're open to all new ideas and techniques but make sure it is not something that already exists in the [Knowledge Base].
If you think your technique is ready to be critiqued and developed then you will begin the cycle by posting here in [Technique Development].
Make sure you give the post the title: [Study] | X Development
Where X is the name you give to the technique.
The Aikido Team will take it from there.
New Technique Development Cycle
1. Inspiration and Origin
The development cycle begins with an idea. This idea must come from somewhere. Whether it be a youtube video, picture, or a replay of what you're trying to develop.
Include the origin of this technique and what it can be used for.
2. Research and Replicate
Members will collaboratively work on the technique. Testing it against single player and multiplayer environments to find the best methods of approach and execution.
A technique is only legitimate if it can be done successfully in multiplayer again and again. At least 5 multiplayer replays are needed show its effectiveness.
3. Polish and Archive
Once a new technique is deemed effective, all related posts will be moved to a dedicated study thread.
Members will collaborate to further develop follow up attacks, counters, and set-ups to this technique.
An official demonstration replay is created so the technique maybe archived in the technique library in the [TA] Knowledge Base.
4. Tutorial (optional)
If a particular technique receives a lot of attention it would be helpful to write a detailed, step by step tutorial. This will be written or co-written in the dedicated thread until leaders believe it is ready to be added to the Knowledge Base.
Tutorials should be descriptive but simple, trying to pass the idea on to the reader without overloading them with to much information. Use the hip throws tutorial as a template.
