lost body fat doing that shit at a caloric defecit because cardio is for bitches so im just now getting gainz. i do it for gainz and so im not 6'5 and lanky

if deadlifts fukt up your back you might have had bad form which isn't uncommon. since your so tall make sure you don't fuck up your knees in general, I hear that's easy for you guys to do. you should do cardio tho, before you make the mistake I did a year ago and get strong fat, it doesn't even look good. at least once a week

lol, lifting doesn't suppress your height or growth dude. some dumb skinnyfags made that shit up so everyone would be skellies like them.

you should if you want a routine let me know what you're aiming for and I can hook you up. gave one to smilies recently

well of course it's hard to lift, doesn't mean you shouldn't doe fam innit

My 5x5 squat has gotten up to 240 though so I have T-rex arms I guess

I like doing deadlifts the most, I feel like a badass every time I finish a set.

(I weigh 155 btw)

(also these are in pounds because I'm a true patriot)

how long have you been lifting?

strength? if you do karate (which is what I assume that's what you tried to type) then there's no reason not to train for strength solely

i also of course do some accessory lifts and dips/pullups

lifting 5 months, coming from skinnyfat extraordinaire to one step above skinnyfat extraordinaire

don't really feel like posting my whole routine right now, but i will say that i recently took my squat down to once a week instead of twice and i am not sorry about it at all

dope, those lifts look like about where I was when I started ~3 years ago, except my bench was a little higher cause I have sick chest genes. what are you lifting for? recreation, strength or bitches? also age + weight pls

do you work out or participate in any physical activities other than sports and I'm not talking about any damn e-sports. Yes, League of Legends swimming (3-4 times a week ~30 mins semi-intense to intense workout) and I used to play hockey up until this year since I haven't found a team which fits my schedule near my new location.

why aren't you lifting? Simply because lifting isn't that appealing to me. I don't care that much about becoming muscular and I don't find lifting weights that much. I prefer other sports, mostly endurance sports. Sports for me are a way to clear my mind, relieve stress from studies and help me burn my energy/calories (which may not be such a good idea when I look at how underweight I am). If I don't do sports, I feel bad. After a session of sports, I feel good about myself and I feel relaxed.

do you have any questions on how to get started? No, I think its pretty simple unless you really want to gain mass quickly.

I get where you're coming from, 'cause I was the same way. only really played basketball and I was pretty content with that. though lifting's uses are limited to strength, looking like a sick cunt and perhaps heart health it's actually really rewarding. you might be keen to try calisthenics since that was the first type of exercise I got into when I decided I didn't want to be skinnier than people in grades lower than me.
in general, I'd say don't knock it 'till you try it.

Guess you could say I really got into it when I went on my schools weight lifting team 2years ago (and I got to compete )
My maxs are around 3-4 months out dated but here they are
265 bench
375 squat
430 deadlift
I got a stocky 5'9" 170lb build so lifting always came naturally to me.
Recently I Fucked my leg up so my legs probably went down a little (sadness intensifies)
Probably my favorite hobby next to vidya games

these lifts are sick, shorter people I know always generally have better lifts than taller people. I wonder if it's mesomorph vs ectomorph shit (it seems shorties are generally mesomorphs). sucks that you got an injury tho, is it a permanent thing?

probably got closed because my thread was posted earlier, sorry man

good luck leg day is probably my favorite
Pushing powder down my musket so I may smite another opp.
I put a switch and a beam on my blunderbuss, your hood is not safe.
everything but my squat is really low, but my squat is low to everyone

I look pretty dyel because I didnt like eating much after I lost a lot of weight and didnt play sports at all growing up

Im coming back stronger, everything is progressing. I hope by next week I can get my bench higher, its been stalling but I think its from not going for a while

I think shorter people get more leverage if I'm not mistaken.
Like how someone with shorter arms will have a meaner hook than someone with longer arms. The bar has less distance to travel for me etc. But I feel you most shorter people are mesomorphs (I'd say I'm somewhere in the mid leaning more towards meso)
almost positive I just over stretched out my ACL positive I didn't tear it (thank jesus) gonna rest it for a couple months then start rehabilitating it, my job helps with that too cause I'm always on my feet.

Shorter people are generally better at Squats.

I used to lift weights in High School (For football) my Senior year, but after that I went soft.

I'm thinking about getting back into it honestly. Trying to find a gym close to where I live.
why aren't you lifting?: I have really bad knees due to a karate accident and I'm also 6'4... I can benchpress but I don't often enough.
do you want to get started?: Sort of, I need to find a way to do it without damaging my knees further.
do you have any questions on how to get started?: How to not damage my knees further

All I can really say about it is take precaution. Make sure to warm your legs up before trying it. And start off with small weights, and just keep adding as you get more comfortable with it.

Knee braces might help

What pigeon said. There are also compression sleeves that help and actual knee wraps but I'd only suggest using them sparingly

i've got a chin up bar in my room and lift myself 25 times daily
(5 reps of 5 with 1 minute rest in between)

dunno if this actually helps but whatevs
dreamy suicide act
All you do is upper body working out?

I'm starting Cardio right now. Hear it's supposed to help your heart.

Anyone know some good diet plans?
