I tell him that porn sites have viruses and no matter how good it feels it's not worth it. I then let him roam free and after doing this I would not interfere at all.
I wouldnt interfere cus that's what my dad did, I now have a timer on my computer that blocks a ton of stuff that could be used to remove it lol. It also sends him an email of everything I do for the day, all the sites I go to all the programs I open EVERYTHING. This really pisses me off so I would not do this to my son.

I believe that as long as you try your best to make it possible to cultivate your son's or daughter's knowledge, ethics, moral standards, and tons of other virtues, then its okay for them to navigate on the internet with their free will.
However if you believe that your kid ain't not following the right path for him/her, and you suspect that Internet's influence is somehow responsible for the corruption of his/her values and consciousness, then you should take a stand and try to wake him/her up from his/her apathetic state.
Internet could be the best or the worst place to grow up with, depending on what you end up visiting every day of your immature life.

How about you teach him some real stuff. I.E Install Linux, you don't need an AV, AV's are pretty much useless, porn sites don't have viruses, the adverts do and if you are stupid enough to click on the ads then you deserve a virus.

Why not just boot up a live CD? which would bypass everything on the windows partition? Or just tell your dad to stop being a control freak
