If you go to the "About Me" section in your Public Profile, there should be a tab labeled "Infractions" that only you can see. Usually when you are banned you receive a profile infraction, unless you were banned for being under investigation or your account was compromised. Every ban you received should have a profile infraction to correspond with it, including a reason stating how long the ban duration was.

This is a little inaccurate, SMod+ people can ban people without using infractions, so you will never get any sort of infraction message for it if you were banned this way.
