Oh my, how wrong you are.

When you use the wrapper, you are just opening the steam application for terraria. When you don't have the wrapper it will say "You do not have an app to open this document." Once you have the wrapper, nothing changes, it just knows what to do. You still connect to steam, etc.

Then I guess I had a totally different wrapper, because I did play Terraria without using/opening up Steam.

(I don't have the wrapper anymore, I recently got a new computer so some files need to be re-installed.)
