still the render is pretty much at the center. and the background is really empty.

What you guys think of this one? I feel that the outcome of this one is pretty amazing. Probably one of my best so far.

The first one seems way too cluttered. Simplicity can work as well. You should practice that so you can find a balance between both.
Also it doesn't have depth, much flow, or good lighting.
When you want depth, work with layers, overlays, and opacity. And flow is basically everything going one way and corresponding perfectly.
And lighting is pretty basic, create the light source from the point the light should be coming from.
Make this intense, but not so much it looks over contrasted.

The second one is better, but pretty much the same.

Doxxy,you might seriously want to make the edge of the eyes/eyebrow-area clearer. Since i didn't see it at first. also is it somekind of skeletor mage?


iNoTo, The first one has alittlebit of flow but like doxxy said it lacks many much other stuff. the second one still has a centered render. but if we get over it. I don't see much flow in it.

Looks cool but I find it hard to picture a face in it.
I try to give my Tribals faces, works better ingame to be honest :B

Mapping will fudge up a lot on the bottom though..
