Betting servers
Hey guys. Can anyone help explain the mechanics of betting servers? Whats a nudgeline? A nudge? Do the fighters profit anything? Why do bets cancel sometimes?

A betting server is essentially a hangout much like a casino! People bet on who they think is gonna win.
A nudge is when you pay a price to the decap prize to be placed at the top of the queue. This helps with the popularity of the server (Who doesn't want a chance to hit someone's face off for 50k TC?). A large self-bet can be placed for a nudge as well. Since the rooms often are very populated it takes a long time to queue. Hence nudges.
The nudgeline is essentially a list of nudges, like a queue itself (think VIP-queue or something).
The fighters battle for TC, Decapprize and fame. It's very common that they bet on self if they are confident with their skill as well.
Bet cancels happens when bets are very unbalanced. The ones who staked i.e. say 10k might not enjoy the match when the opposing bets are 1k. Therefore bet cancels exist.

Wow. Whoever invented nudges is a genius. But for the fighters, besides fighting for fame and DP prizes, do they earn the customary 10tc per win or more? Or none at all?

There are many keys to betting servers.
1) Cancel Bets: If bets become too unbalanced then all bets made are returned by the betters. (I believe its either 10 or 20% minimum bet ratio)
2) NudgeLine: The NudgeLine is the top of the queue for players who have purchased a nudge to actually fight earlier than if they just waited.
3) Nudges: Nudges are when people pay (usually) 1,000tc to the decapprize to play sooner than they would if they had just waited. Most of the time once you buy a nudge you're not going to be passed in line anymore, except if someone buys a fuke.
4)Selfbets: Selfbets are when people bet a pretty high price on themselves because they believe they will win. I believe a 10k selfbet will get you #1 in the nudge line and a 15k will get you a fuke.
5) Fukes: Fukes are when someone pays sufficient funds to play immediately. Fukes are usually from 15k tc up. If you have alot of tc and don't like waiting in lines this is the way to go.
Now that the basics are covered to answer your question: Fighters don't make any tc if no bets are made. Fighters win a portion of tc that is bet against them. For example if Spectator 1 bets on Fighter 1 but Fighter 2 wins, Fighter 2 gets a portion of Spectator 1's bets. Extra information about fukes is that they have to be made before the 490 turnframe is up or they will have to wait for the next round to get a fuke. I'm relatively new to Betting servers myself but this is what I have learned. I hope I have helped.
