If you knew anything about this game, you would notice that some people catch on to this game faster than others.
I started in 2013 and I am better than a majority of the players that have joined before me. So time isn't a factor.
Though it seems you fail to grasp the concept of a ranking system.
The Elo rating system is a method for calculating the
relative skill levels of players in competitor-versus-competitor games.
Notice the words in bold "Relative skill levels" you see how it doesn't say "Relative free time levels"?
You shouldn't be able to have a good rank by beating people who barely know how to move.
*note: You also don't face a different opponent every matchmaking session so your "Beating 1000s of new players makes you better than 1000s of people" statement is invalid. In reality you are maybe better then the 6-7 people attempting to learn how to play. Which is also kind of obvious cause you know..They don't know how to play.
