No, trance is more repetitive. Its meant to allow you to go into a trance and zone out and stuff.

Hey, this is a really informative thread. I never knew the difference between trance and techno. What is a good trance song, nice bass and repetitive. I feel like relaxing.

Trance is a sub-genre of Techno which is a sub-genre of Electronica itself. There are several kinds of Trance but the mainstream stuff is about simple beats without vocals.
