i need a way to get better fps
i dont have enoth mony to upgrade my pc atm
i read on the net gta 4 for pc have alot of bugs and crap

i what a bit more fps i have patch 4 it game me a bit more pfs is there some thing els a 5fps+ boost will be good to
10fps realy good boost

when ever i tried GTA IV for my mac, running on boot camp, The road wouldn't load. but the buildings and car did. I never checked out how many FPS it was. You could Max out your card, I still haven't figured out how to do it.

Downgrade your settings.

Thats because of the RAM... Too slow/not enough.

maybe run the game in windowed mode, you may not get the full screen experince but you can sure as hell play it

maybe stop being a cheap bastard and dish out $300 for a 360 or PS3

Yeah Im getting sick of all the errors in the pc port. While pc is almost always more powerful, the inconvenience of the social club and games for windows live really discourages me from playing. Hell, I haven't been able to play online in a week.
I can only wish for an optimization patch.

I have had no problems at all for the PC version.
A for the OP, your problem appears to be that you have a shitty cpu.

Well thats when optimization really matter.

For example.... The first Colin McRae "Dirt" had such a bad optimization, actually Dirt 2 - with better graphics - runs far better on tons of PC's
