Welcome to the Island Survival Event.
This event will take place on Friday, December 21st, at 23:00 GMT.
In Australia, this corresponds to Saturday at anywhere between 08:00 (Perth) to 10:00 (Sydney).
In the United States, this corresponds to Friday at anywhere between 15:00 (Pacific) to 18:00 (Eastern)
Europeans probably won't have any trouble figuring out what time it is for them.
This event will take place at server 15.
The format - You will fight in a 100 minute long free-for-all, in the middle of which, the rules will change.
The first ruleset:

dismember threshold: 125
fracture threshold: 100
dojosize: 300
engage distance: 125
The second ruleset:
match frames: 160
turnframes: 20
mod: classic
disqualification: 0
dismember threshold: 125

The 4 players who score the most wins will proceed to the finals.
In the finals, the 4 finalists will fight under the following rules for 20 minutes:

turnframes: 25
mod: classic
disqualification: 0
dismember threshold: 125
fracture threshold: 100
dojosize: 300
engage distance: 0
engage rotation: 125
The prize for this contest is a Gradient Item* of the winner's choice**.
*Gradient Item means either a primary or a secondary, not both.
**You may not choose Demon/Elf/Pure, or any colours that currently do not appear in the torishop.
Other rules:
You must have a black belt or higher to participate (not my call, sorry guys).
It is not a win if your opponent is AFK or disconnected.
There is no need to sign up, just show up and fight.
You can join in at any time, the server will not be locked.
Those who over-swear, especially at the officials, risk getting kicked.

an administrative decision was made to divide tournaments to ones for black belts and up, and ones for 'newbies' (anyone below black belt). the two different kinds have different budgets for prizes.
there are 2 people assigned to black belt tournaments (i'm one of them), and 3 people assigned to newbie tournaments (possibly 4 now).
