Heya there.

This problem is about our Toribash IRC server.

I searched and didn't find anything.
Not sure if this should be posted here.

So, my problem is: I can't connect to the server.

I type /server asia.toribash.com 7000 (Used this to get to the Toribash channel), and this text appears:

* Connecting to asia.toribash.com (7000)
-
* Unable to connect to server (Connection timed out)
-
* Connect retry #1 asia.toribash.com (7000)
-

I'm 101% sure that my Firewall or Router doesn't block this. I checked.
6667 - 6669 ports doesn't work either.
When this server was made, Jok told me in Toribash channel to write something
/server asia.toribash.com 6667 blahblahblahs
and it didn't work.
So, can anybody help?

Hrmh, that site is for Toribash problems, amirite?

Make sure that NOTHING on your computer is blocking it. I had that problem on my dad's pc once.

If you are using mIRC try typing /server asia.toribash.com
now, that works on chatzilla too, and the www.toribash.com/chat
...

I use mIRC (didn't say that, woops. >.<)
Typing /server asia.toribash.com is the same as /server asia.toribash.com 6667 .
I r not use Mozilla Firefox, so I can't use ChatZilla, and I can't download Mozilla, because it doesn't work in this computer.
Toribash chat has the same result.

Your ISP might be blocking the connection.

Contact them and make sure they allow IRC connections.

Mine, for example, doesn't allow any IRC connection besides Quakenet ones.




If they block and won't allow an exception, get a Unix shell and connect to it, and run irssi on there. That's what I do.

Or maybe /server asia.toribash.com 6667 not 7000 or if you use chatzilla type in /server irc.toribash.com it always work for me.

I cant access the IRC it says I am banned, but I have only been there once. I doubt I would be banned for no reason for that long. Is this the same problem he is having?

Type "/server asia.toribash.com 6667" when you get there, (the banning thing doesnt mean anything)

then once you're in type "/nick Redwards"
