Well that is pretty much it.

I'll help, but I won't solve it for you.

The shaded section of the first square is equal to the top blank section of the middle square, and the shaded section of the third square is equal to the bottom blank section of the middle square.

OH NOW I GET IT,

so all the shaded sector is a full rectangle sector.
The answer is 72cm right?

But the real question is, how do i get the answer, my teacher wont lay a hand on my home work, if it just like that.

It's basically just a puzzle and you have to calculate how big one of those rectangles is.
