Right, can you do the following:

On the start menu, click 'run'. Tell it to run DXDIAG

Look on the display tab & it'll say what it is.

Does it state what the card/chip is?

Also, try saving this in your toribash directory. It'll just force a resolution but might cure your problem.

Ahhhhh! We had one of those chips a few weeks ago messing about, the good news is it can be fixed.

You need a driver update. Thankfully SIS are still making updates for their older hardware.

In the lists choose the folllowing: XP, IGP Graphics Drivers, SIS66x/SIS76x & SIS67x

You want the 1st driver in the list, just choose a location, download & install.
