Chief Justice Chirs, Chief Justice Cobra, President Spaft, President ViperTech, First Lady Tryton, fellow Aeons, and people of Toribash: thank you.

We, the citizens of Aeon, are now joined in a great national effort to rebuild our clan and to restore its promise for all of our people.

Together, we will determine the course of Aeon and the toribash for years to come.

We will face challenges. We will confront hardships. But we will get the job done.

Every year, we gather on this day to carry out the orderly and peaceful change of direction, and we are grateful to President Spaft and First Lady Tryton for their gracious aid throughout this transition. They have been magnificent.

Today’s ceremony, however, has very special meaning. Because today we are not merely changing from one Aeon to another, or from one ruleset to another – but we are transferring power from The Politbuero, and giving it back to you, the Aeon Members.

For too long, a small group in our clan's private board has reaped the rewards of clanship while the members have borne the cost.

The Elders flourished – but the Children did not share in its wealth.

Leaders prospered – but the members left, and the activity died.

The establishment protected itself, but not the members of it's clan.

Their victories have not been your victories; their triumphs have not been your triumphs; and while they celebrated in our clan's board, there was little to celebrate for struggling members all across our clan.

That all changes – starting right here, and right now, because this moment is your moment: it belongs to you.

It belongs to everyone gathered here today and everyone watching all across Aeon.

This is your day. This is your celebration.

And this, the Great Clan of Aeon, is your clan.

What truly matters is not which leader controls our clan, but whether our leader is controlled by the members.

April 1st 2017, will be remembered as the day the members became the rulers of this clan again.

The forgotten men and women of our clan will be forgotten no longer.

Everyone is listening to you now.

You came by the tens of hundreds to become part of a historic movement the likes of which the community has never seen before.

At the center of this movement is a crucial conviction: that a clan exists to serve its members.

Aeon members want great threads for their replays, safe voice channels for their jokes, and good games for themselves.

These are the just and reasonable demands of a righteous member.

But for too many of our children, a different reality exists: Pranit and Swosh are trapped in poverty in our lower ranks; closed threads scattered like tombstones across the board of our clan; a discord server, flush with members, but which leaves our new and unexperienced members deprived of human dignity; and the crime and racism and bad jokes have stolen too many lives and robbed our clan of so much unrealized potential.

This Aeon carnage stops right here and stops right now.

We are one family – and their pain is our pain. Their dreams are our dreams; and their success will be our success. We share one heart, one home, and one glorious destiny.

The oath of office I take today is an oath of allegiance to all Aeons.

For many years, we’ve enriched the toribash community at the expense of Aeon activity;

Subsidized the wars of other clans while allowing for the very sad depletion of our ingame activity;

We've defended other clan’s boards while refusing to defend our own;

And spent thousands of toricredits overseas while Aeon's infrastructure has fallen into disrepair and decay.

We’ve made other clans rich while the wealth, strength, and confidence of our clan has disappeared over the horizon.

One by one, the threads shuttered and left our board, with not even a thought about the dozens upon dozens of Aeon members left behind.

The wealth of our children rank has been ripped from their homes and then redistributed across the toribash community.

But that is the past. And now we are looking only to the future.

We assembled here today are issuing a new decree to be heard in every thread, in every board, and in every clan.

From this day forward, a new vision will govern our family.

From this moment on, it’s going to be Aeon First.

Every decision on trade, on taxes, on recruitment, on wars, will be made to benefit Aeon members and friends of Aeon.

We must protect our board from the ravages of other clans making our jokes, stealing our members, and destroying our threads. Protection will lead to great prosperity and strength.

I will fight for you with every breath in my body – and I will never, ever let you down.

Aeon will start winning again, winning like never before.

We will bring back our threads. We will bring back our board. We will bring back our activity. And we will bring back our dreams.

We will build new servers and threads all across our wonderful family.

We will get our people off of the inactive rank and back to work – rebuilding our clan with Aeon hands and Aeon activity.

We will follow two simple rules: Post in Aeon threads and play on Aeon servers.

We will seek friendship and goodwill with other clans of the community – but we do so with the understanding that it is the right of all clans to put their own interests first.

We do not seek to impose our way of life on anyone, but rather to let it shine as an example for everyone to follow.

We will reinforce old alliances and form new ones – and unite the civilized community against Woeb Terrorism, which we will eradicate completely from the face of this community.

At the bedrock of our family will be a total allegiance to the Clan of Aeon, and through our loyalty to our clan, we will rediscover our loyalty to each other.

When you open your heart to family, there is no room for prejudice.

We must speak our minds openly, debate our disagreements honestly, but always pursue solidarity.

When Aeon is united, Aeon is totally unstoppable.

There should be no fear – we are protected, and we will always be protected.

We will be protected by the great men and women of our clan and, most importantly, we are protected by hampa.

Finally, we must think big and dream even bigger.

In Aeon, we understand that a family is only living as long as it is striving.

We will no longer accept leaders who are all talk and no action – constantly complaining but never doing anything about it.

The time for empty talk is over.

Now arrives the hour of action.

Do not let anyone tell you it cannot be done. No challenge can match the heart and fight and spirit of Aeon.

We will not fail. Our clan will thrive and prosper again.

We stand at the birth of a new Aeon, ready to unlock the mysteries of taekyon, to free the Community from the miseries of BillyTheSk8rBoi, and to harness the activity of tomorrow.

A new family pride will stir our souls, lift our sights, and heal our divisions.

It is time to remember that old wisdom our members will never forget: that whether we are black or brown or white, we all bleed the same red blood of Aeons, we all enjoy the same glorious freedoms, and we all salute the same great Aeon Leader.

And whether a child is born in the urban sprawl of public6 or the windswept plains of a mushu server, they look up at the same night sky, they fill their heart with the same dreams, and they are infused with the breath of life by the same almighty Creator.

So to all players, in every server near and far, small and large, from thread to thread, and from board to board, hear these words:

Never stop fear us.

Your voice, your hopes, and your dreams, will define our Aeon destiny. And your courage and goodness and love will forever guide us along the way.

Together, We Will Make Aeon Strong Again.

We Will Make Aeon Active Again.

We Will Make Aeon Proud Again.

We Will Make Aeon Safe Again.
